CONNECT is a non-profit youth movement with its roots in an organization previously known as the Peace Initiative. Members of CONNECT represent all communities from around Sri Lanka and come from diverse backgrounds. What brings them together is the common goal of connecting youth who simply want to make a change.
The Career Guidance and Youth Empowerment concept is an effort to find solutions for youth employment issues in Sri Lanka. The program is initiated by the Training for Trusteeship (TFT) program of the Weeramantry International Center for Peace Education and Research (WICPER) together with Connect (Youth Movement) and three Rotaract Clubs (Rotaract Club of American National College, Rotaract Club of Colombo Up-Town, Rotaract Club of Colombo North) as a collaborative effort to address an important youth issue in Sri Lanka while supporting reconciliation initiatives after the conflict.
